AnyFinder started in 2019 as a paid iOS app written in Swift and with Google Firestore as its backend.
Development was suspended for some time in 2021 because the developer ran into health problems.
But now AnyFinder is back — completely free, as a web app that works on phones, tablets, and desktop computers.
The basic idea is the same, but the app can do much more today. You can browse and search for places in two dimensions: pick a category and refine it with filters, then add or edit places with your OpenStreetMap account.
Enjoy exploring! If you want to give something back, tag places around you on OpenStreetMap.
To add or edit places, sign in with your OpenStreetMap account in AnyFinder. The app publishes your changes directly to OpenStreetMap.
For bug reports or feature requests, post them on GitHub. Issues about the content of OpenStreetMap place data are closed automatically and will not receive a response.
The app is free to use, but it is proprietary software. It is not open source, and no right is granted to copy, modify, or redistribute the app, its design, or its source code except as permitted by law or with prior permission.
AnyFinder is a registered trademark in the European Union, registration number 018011691.
