Emergency Services
All Emergency Services
The public services you turn to when something has gone badly wrong and trained responders are needed. Here you will find the likes of police and fire stations.
Fire Stations
Fire stations (also called fire houses, fire halls, or engine houses) are structures or other areas for firefighting apparatus and related vehicles and equipment. They often contain working and living spaces for firefighters as well.
Lifeguard Stations
Staffed lifeguard posts that watch over swimmers at beaches, lakes, and pools, including lifeguard towers, bases, and platforms. This is where to head for help in or near the water, and where trained rescuers are on duty.
Marine & Water Rescue
Stations for the crews who carry out rescues on the water, including lifeboat stations, coast guard posts, and water rescue services. These are the bases people in distress at sea, on lakes, or along rivers rely on.
Police Stations
A police station (sometimes called a "station house") is a building which serves to accommodate police officers and other members of staff. These buildings often contain offices and accommodation for personnel and vehicles, along with locker rooms, temporary holding cells and interview/interrogation rooms.
