Accommodation

  • All Accommodation Places to stay the night while you are away from home. This group covers everything from hotels and hostels to holiday homes and chalets.
  • Apartments Holiday or vacation apartments are furnished apartments or flats or units with cooking and bathroom facilities that can be rented for holiday vacations, either from a private owner or an agency. Apartments usually do not offer services like a hotel or a guest house.
  • Chalets Chalets or Swiss chalets are a type of accommodation in the tourism industry, usually detached, like a holiday cottage, holiday home or vacation home with self-contained cooking and bathroom facilities.
  • Guest Houses A guest house (also guesthouse) is a kind of lodging. In some parts of the world guest houses are a type of inexpensive hotel-like lodging. In still others, it is a private home which has been converted for the exclusive use of lodging. Contrary to hotels or inns, guest houses do not have a full-time staff.
  • Hostels A hostel is a lower-cost form of short-term shared sociable lodging where guests can rent a bed, usually a bunk bed in a dormitory, with shared use of a lounge and sometimes a kitchen. Rooms can be mixed or single-sex and have private or shared bathrooms. Private rooms may also be available, but the property must offer dormitory-style accommodation as a defining feature.
  • Hotels Hotels are establishments that provide paid lodging on a short-term basis. Facilities may range from a modest-quality mattress in a small room to large suites with bigger, higher-quality beds, a dresser, a refrigerator and other kitchen facilities, a flat-screen television, and an en-suite bathroom.
  • Motels Motels or motor lodges are hotels designed for motorists and often have a parking area for motor vehicles close to the rooms. Motels usually offer short term accommodation for people travelling by car.
