Chemists
Chemists typically sell a similar range of articles to a dispensing community pharmacy or an American drugstore: over-the-counter drugs, personal-hygiene products such as toothpaste, shampoo, and soap, cosmetics, and household cleaning products. Prescription drugs are sold in pharmacies, not in chemists.
Opticians
An optician shop sells, fits and repairs prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses. It may or may not include grinding eyeglass lenses, although in the modern era grinding is usually an in-shop capability. Opticians also may sell related accessories and leisure eyewear like sunglasses.
