Chemists typically sell a similar range of articles to a dispensing community pharmacy or an American drugstore: over-the-counter drugs, personal-hygiene products such as toothpaste, shampoo, and soap, cosmetics, and household cleaning products. Prescription drugs are sold in pharmacies, not in chemists.
